ESSENTIALS of TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS  SEMINAR

This seminar will compare and contrast the different types of traffic controller equipment.   The session will cover the fundamentals of taking traffic signal system data from numbers on a page to running on the street. We also will explain the interaction of controller features such as clocks, preemption, and simplified coordination of pretimed and actuated controllers.  We will define some terminology and look at examples of various timing situations. You will leave with techniques to know when to use each scenario.

VIDEO DETECTION SEMINAR

The topics will focus on what is needed at an intersection for successful video detection.  We will sort out what is important and what is not when considering video as an option.  Camera placement, alignment and connectivity guidelines will be presented in a ‘lessons learned’ format.
